MAN JAILED AS GAMBLER AFTER FIGHT IN HOUSE Arrested on a warrant charging he permitted gambling in his home, William Lloyd, 38, 756 Pennsylvania avenue, was fined $25 in police court yesterday. Lloyd's arrest followed a hearing the previous day, when Robert Lee, 29, 226 North Eleventh street, was sentenced to two months in the county jail because he struck Charles Scott, 20 South Eighth street, on the head with a meat cleaver, after an argument over a gambling game at Lloyd's home.
