Man Stabbed in Row, Condition Critical
Edward Tyler, 37, of 761 Ferry ave., was in critical condition today in West Jersey Hospital, after he was stabbed Sunday with a table knife.
Police said Isaac Jackson, 59, same address, inflicted the wound Sunday night during a quarrel over ownership of some copper piping.
Detectives William O'Brien and John Houston said the quarrel led from the kitchen of the home to the backyard where Tyler is alleged to have wrenched a bough from a tree and felled Jackson. The latter, detectives charge, pulled the knife and stabbed as Tyler started another swing with the branch. The weapon was not found.
