Negro Beat Him Up, He Says
Suffering from severe lacerations of the head, John Trail, aged 35, of 1160 Thurman street, was taken to Cooper Hospital, Camden, early yesterday. He told the police he was on his way home and that while walking on Kaighn avenue near Eighth street a mulatto walked up to him. “I want your money,” said the stranger. Trail tried to escape, but was struck over the head with a club. Then $1.70 was taken from his pocket. After that the assailant ran away.
