Captain Stehr and a detail of officers made a successful roundup of men and women at 817 Clair street. Edward Brown, 25 years old, who lives at that address, was charged with keeping a disorderly house. Seven cases of beer, a quart of gin and a quart of whisky were taken in the raid. Henry Butler, [?]2, of 214 South Second street, was stated as [?] witness as were also Carrie Washington, 30[?] Federal street; Rhoda Montgomery, [?]4, 644 South Second street; Marie Gibbs, 811 Locust street, and Hazel Shipman, 307 Washington street.
