Probe Set In Blaze; Two Hurt
Fire officials today were investigating the possibility of arson in a North Camden home where two firemen were injured battling a dual blaze last night.
Arthur Batten, acting battalion chief, asked for the investigation after two fires at about 7:30 p.m. damaged a front and rear bedroom at 223 Milton Street while the owner, Mrs. Patricia Gibbs, was out of the house.
Injured were firemen Richard Francesconi, 25, of 3082 Carman Street and Truman Maples, 24, of 1024 N. 35th Street. Francesconi was transferred from Cooper Hospital to Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, for surgery to remove glass from his right eye. Maples was treated for injuries to his right leg.
