Alexander Briscoe, of Ninth and Kaighn avenue, and Charles Jordan, two dark-complexioned youths, engaged in a game of poker about ten o'clock last night.
When the game was partly through Jordan claimed Briscoe took a quarter from the pot and a row followed during which Jordan struck Briscoe upon the head with a brick. The latter resented by producing a razor and slashing Jordan across the face. Jordan was sent to the hospital for repairs, and Officers Butts and Ripley scoured the ward for the injured man's assailant. He was located at 922 Baxter street early this morning and Officer Butts sent him to the hall.
In the Police Court this morning Briscoe was released in his own recognizance for a further hearing.
