Suffragists Not the Cause
"I can't do a thing with her since she joined the suffragists," was Herman Miller's plea when arraigned before Recorder Stackhouse yesterday on a charge of abusing his wife. Mrs. Miller told the court that her husband armed himself with a knife and chased his family from their home at 59 South Twenty-fourth street. "It seems to me that you are at fault," said the Recorder, sentencing Miller to thirty days.
