All the boxing bouts for the testimonial to Bert Crowhurst, which is to be held at the Caledonian Club on Monday evening, have been arranged, and they include most of the best boxers in and around the city. Many offers have been received, but some had to be refused owing to the large list. The men have been evenly matched in their classes, and there is every prospect of an unusually interesting evening's entertainment. All the bouts will be of six rounds' duration, and the first one will be put on at 8 o'clock sharp, in order to get through the long program. The wind-up will be between Isadore Strauss and Billy Paine, and will be a test of two entirely different styles of boxing. The program is as follows: Billy Paine, of Baltimore, vs. Isadore Strauss; Jack Bennett, of Pittsburg, vs. Jack O'Brien; Elwood McCloskey vs. J. Waldron, of Trenton; Charlie Wood, of England, vs. Eugene Rowan; Steve Flanagan vs. J. Pierce, of Trenton; Jack Lynch vs. Billy Smith; "Crocky" Boyle vs. L. Nittenhauer, of Germantown; Harry Crawford vs. J. McGee; "Kid" Kelly vs. "Young" Marshall; C. Baker, of Camden, vs. H. Davis; Billy Peterson vs. Dan McConnell. In adition [sic] to the above Al O'Brien, Jack Daly, Joe Butler, Jack Hanlon, Dan Crane, "Kid" Fraley, Billy Pope and C. Hutcheson offered their services. C. McKeever, who is matched to meet "Kid" Lavigne for the championship, will also spar three friendly rounds with his trainer.
