WANTED A REAL "COP."
Plain clothes men Hurlock and Schlam last evening arrested a man apparently well-loaded up with "moonshine," lying on the lots near Twenty-sixth and Carmen streets, on complaint of residents.
They asked his name and address, but he steadfastly refused to give it. He then refused to be placed under arrest by the two officers, saying he wanted a real policeman to lock him up, the two officers being in plain clothes.
While the argument was at its height Traffic Officer "Mike" Stark, in uniform came along, and when "John Barleycorn's ally" was asked if he would do as a policeman he was satisfied, but nevertheless refused to divulge his name to them. He was sent to the hall.
