Attacked by Husband, Rescued by Police Captain
William Knox, a hackman, was arrested last evening charged with assaulting his wife, Jennie Knox, of 810½ Broadway, Camden. Knox has been separated from his wife, and yesterday afternoon, it is alleged, he visited her home and tried to force her to drink a bottle of horse medicine, threatening to slash her with a knife.
Last evening Knox returned to the house, and breaking in the door renewed the attack on his wife. Police Captain Stanley, attracted by her cries for help, took Knox into custody.
