ALICE BURDSALL was born in Pennsylvania around 1873. First appointed a teacher in Camden in 1908, she rented room from Sarah Wescott of 108 Broadway at the time of the 1910 census. Her next door neighbor at 106 Broadway was undertaker Joseph H. Murray. She later roomed with Clara Dibble of 559 Washington Street.
When the census was taken in 1930 Miss Burdsall was lodging at the home of Ruth Henderson, 413 South 6th Street. She retired in June of 1936 after teaching first and second grades in Camden public schools for 28 years.
Alice Burdsall remained in Camden after her teaching days ended. Last a resident of the Plaza Hotel on Cooper Street, she passed away on January 30,1954.
