Raymond Renaud Donges, born on November 10, 1871, in Donaldson, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, was the son of Dr. John W. and Rose M. (Renaud) Donges. In addition to Raymond, his family included two brothers, Clarence Donges, who, like his father, served as a physician in Camden for many years, and Ralph Waldo Emerson Donges. Both Raymond and Ralph W.E. Donges pursued careers in the legal profession, establishing a distinguished law firm in the 1890s. Howard Carrow played a crucial role in Raymond’s legal education, contributing to their shared success. Wilbert V. Pike, another prominent figure in Camden’s legal circles, was also part of their law firm at one point.
Around 1911, Raymond R. Donges entered matrimonial life. As of the 1930 census, he and his wife, Katherine, along with their children John, Katherine M., and Raymond R. Jr., resided at 2 Wellwood Avenue in Merchantville, NJ. Mrs. Donges gained recognition in the 1920s for her involvement within the Democratic Party in Camden County.
Raymond Renaud Donges passed away on April 8, 1937, marking the end of a distinguished and accomplished career in the legal field.
