Max Frederick Reihmann (b. 1861, Germany) came to Camden in 1889 and founded a sheet metal-working shop that became one of the city's leading concerns. He retired in 1913, passing the business to his sons Max Jr., Frederick, and Paul, and was active in Camden Masonic and civic life.
Twentieth Street runs through Cramer Hill and East Camden, from Harrison Avenue to Bank Street, established by the 1887–1888 Camden City Directory. In 1954, fourteen homes with South 20th Street addresses were added when McGuire Gardens public housing was built; they were demolished and redeveloped in the 1990s.
Sixth Street runs with few interruptions from the Delaware River to Morgan Street, virtually the length of the city, from North Camden south almost all the way to Gloucester City.
The Past Masters' Circle of Mozart Lodge of Masons held its annual outing yesterday at Pioneer's Grove, Pine Hill. The circle has been in existence 40 years. A banquet was served in the grove. Sports were a feature.
A June 1932 Camden Courier-Post report on a Camden Lions Club meeting at the Hotel Walt Whitman, where speaker James O'Neill of Lakeview Memorial Park described the growing use of cemetery chapels for weddings. The club also announced the election of Dr. Thomas Lewis, I. D. Gindhart, Max Reihmann, and Harold Leach as directors.
