Miss Margaret M. Oberst, the pretty and talented daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Oberst, of 809 South Fifth street, was married yesterday morning at 11 o'clock in SS. Peter and Paul's Church, St. John and Spruce streets, to Mr. James B. West, Jr., a prominent plumber and stepson of John McGowan, of 501 Trenton avenue.
The corner-stone of the new parochial school of Sts. Peter and Paul's Church at St. John and Spruce Streets was laid before several hundred people; the societies marched to the place headed by a platoon of police under Captain Arthur Stanley.
Residents and property owners of Camden's Fourth and Sixth wards petition City Council for an under-drainage culvert running from the Line Street culvert at Broadway out to Sixth Street and north to Sixth and Royden. Arthur Stanley, then of 929 Newton Avenue, signed among the petitioners.
