2 Who Fought Police Get Hearings in Court Belligerent prisoners who met their police captors with husky swings appeared before Judge Lewis Liberman in the city police court yesterday. Frank Wade, 35, of West street and Mickle streets, making a disturbance yesterday and neighbors in order for Earl Wright, a patrolman, to quell the noise. He found Wade in bed, ordered the man to get up and go away, when Wade swung. The prisoner was given 60 days. Thomas Golden, 57, of 635 Birch street, made an eloquent plea and received a suspended sentence of six months. Golden was arrested Sunday, and when he was booked, kicked Acting Desk Sergeant Frank Evans on an injured leg which was injured in a motorcycle accident some time ago. "I was never arrested before," said Golden, "and the policeman doesn't want to prosecute me. Don't send me to jail, Judge." Lieutenant George Ward also testified that Evans wanted no reprisal on the defendant, so the court was lenient and gave Golden a suspended sentence.
