CAMDEN NEWS NOTES In an attempt to rob the saloon of John Carroll, northeast corner Third and Cherry streets, Camden, early yesterday morning Ernest Baker, colored, aged 31 years, of 770 Kaighn avenue, was shot by the former and dangerously wounded. Two other men accompanied Baker, one of whom, Frank Johnson, also colored, was captured. The other man escaped. Baker was taken to the Cooper Hospital, where it was found the bullet had entered through his right eye. His condition is serious. Johnson was taken to the City Hall and held without bail by the Recorder.
