3rd Street

Third Street in Camden, NJ, runs parallel to the Delaware River, stretching north and south. This street features several notable buildings at its intersections with other streets, which carry addresses of the intersecting east-west streets rather than Third Street itself.

One such building is the Security Trust Building, located at the corner of Third and Market Streets, but its address is 301 Market Street. This historic structure has been a significant part of Camden’s architectural and commercial landscape.

Another prominent building is the Mickle Tower Apartment House, situated at the corner of Third Street and Mickle Boulevard. Despite its location on Third Street, it is addressed as 200 Mickle Boulevard. This residential building is known for providing housing in the area and stands as a notable landmark in the neighborhood.

These examples illustrate the practice of addressing buildings based on the major intersecting streets rather than the more minor Third Street.
