•• The Nonpareil Cork Manufacturing Company yesterday took out a permit for the erection of an addition to its plant, 40 by 100 feet.
•• The body of Eugene Fredericks, who died at the Cooper Hospital Tuesday, from uraemic poisoning, was removed by relatives to Newark yesterday.
•• Miss Edith French, daughter of the late Captain Emmor D. French, who took a quantity of carbolic acid in mistake for a mouth wash, has recovered. Miss French denies she attempted suicide.
•• Felice Deno, the Italian who, it is alleged, broke the leg of Dennis Sweeney and otherwise injured him with a base ball bat, resulting in Sweeney being admitted at the Cooper Hospital, was committed to the county jail yesterday in default of $500 bail.
•• Police Captain Stanley and a squad of officers yesterday raided a house on South Third street, Camden, kept by Pearl Welcome, colored. Besides the latter, William Coleman, Lewis Robinson, Thomas Waters, Nellie Fisher and Nellie Robinson, all colored, were arrested. The Welcome woman was held in $1,000 bail, and the others in $500 bail each as witnesses.
