A steel float, 236 feet long, with a capacity for carrying fourteen railroad cars, built for the Long Island Railroad Company, was launched at the plant of the New York Shipbuilding Company yesterday.

William Wright, aged 12 years, of 1251 Lemon street, fell from a tree in Forest Hill Park yesterday and broke his left arm.

The Street Committee of City Council made its annual inspection of city's thoroughfares yesterday.

Captain of Police Stanley is investigating the finding of a ring filled with Yale lock keys on the top of a house near Sixth and Chestnut streets.

A permit was taken out yesterday for the erection of a three-story brick and stone structure, 205x52 feet, at Marlton avenue and River road. The building will be used for the manufacture of yarns. Employment will be given to several hundred hands.
