Mayor Ellis yesterday appointed David Hunt as a jailor at the new city prison. Judge Joline yesterday refused the application of Mrs. Sarah Herbert for a license to sell liquor at Fish House, against which a vigorous remonstrance has been made. Falling twenty feet down the hold of a boat at Mathis' shipyard, Edward Dyer, aged 22 years, of 205 Byron street, received internal injuries and many lacerations of the body. Camden police are looking for a man who got $21 worth of paints from W.G. Powelson, of 219 Federal street, by means of a bogus check.
