Firefighter Injured in Camden Blaze

One Camden City firefighter was taken to Cooper University Hospital Friday morning for heat-related issues following a one-alarm fire in Camden's Parkview [sic] section. Crews were called to 940 Haddon Avenue around 9:23 a.m. to a former beauty salon. Multiple callers to 911 reported heavy smoke coming from the vacant two-story structure. Firefighters arrived to find it fully engulfed. The fire was placed under control quickly. One additional engine was brought in as a precautionary measure. Haddon Avenue was closed for a short time.
