GLOUCESTER MAN HELD, ADMITS TAKING AUTO
Augustus Rollo, 19, of 507 Ferry avenue, Gloucester, admitted in Gloucester police court yesterday before Recorder Oliver J. Stetser that he was the driver of the automobile which Monday night failed to halt until fired upon by a Gloucester policeman.
Rollo confessed that he took the car from the garage of Carl Dolenti, 20, of Camden. Later, he said, he picked up Edward Trottman, 25, of 704 Sylvan street, Camden, and Walter Voitovick, of 1428 Broadway, Camden. He said he escaped when the others were arrested.
Trottman and Voitovick accused Dolenti of being the driver.
Rollo was turned over to Camden detectives.
