Camden Man Was Nearly Smothered in a Runaway
Frightened at a passing train, a horse attached to a wagon driven by Matthew Menders, of 830 South Third street, Camden, ran away at Mt. Ephraim avenue and Mt. Vernon streets yesterday. The wagon was overturned, Menders being pinioned beneath. Policeman Appley found the man almost smothered with broken eggs, several crates of which had been in the wagon. Aside from that Menders was not injured.
