Indian in Court Was on Warpath Neighbor Avers
William May, an Indian, 32 years old, 2110 Berwick street, was held in $200 bail by Recorder Stackhouse today on a charge of threatening to kill Edward Guinness, 2106 Berwick street, with an axe.
Guinness testified the Indian, his neighbor, had called him bad names and threatened he would kill him with an axe.
"I'll get you yet," Guinness testified the Indian said to him in the presence of his wife. According to the evidence, however, May made no effort to carry out the threat.
Lewis Liberman, representing the Indian, a small-featured man with long hair, said the incident was nothing more than a squabble among neighbors.
