Infant's Body Found on Broadway

The dead body of an infant was found in a clump of willows on Broadway, near Branch Street, yesterday afternoon by Police Officer Fox, of the Sixth ward. It was taken in charge by Coroner Davis and afterwards removed to the City Morgue. It is surmised that the child met its death by foul means.
The body of William Knowells, the Englishman who was drowned off Chestnut Street wharf about two weeks ago, was recovered yesterday, and taken in charge by Coroner Davis, who ordered it interred immediately, it was so badly decomposed.
