Lozowski's Body Is Returned Here

LOZOWSKI'S BODY IS RETURNED HERE Camden Marine, 20, Killed Last Thursday in Plane Crash The body of John Lozowski, 20, was returned to Camden yesterday. A member of the U. S. Marines, the young man was killed last Thursday when his plane crashed while on a training flight at Atlantic Field, N. C. Major L. C. Merrill, commanding officer at the field, notified his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lozowski, 1143 Sheridan street, that their son had been killed when the plane crashed into the bay at the training station while on a flight with a squadron. Stanley Cliechanowski, Camden undertaker, received the body, which was accompanied by a Marine escort, at the Thirtieth and Market streets station of the Pennsylvania Railroad, Philadelphia. Lozowski was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High school, class of January, 1941. He had been employed by the Radio Condenser Co. as an apprentice toolmaker before joining the Marines last November. He had not been home since enlisting. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Rita, and a brother, George Jr. The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a. m. at the Sheridan Street, and a Mass at St. Joseph's High Mass will be celebrated at 9 a. m. at St. Joseph's Church, Tenth and Mechanic streets. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
