Mayor Westcott has been indorsed for renomination by the Liberty Park Republican Club.

The body of Captain George Deitz, of 960 Mount Vernon street, who fell overboard from his scow and was drowned, was recovered in Cooper’s Creek yesterday.

Dennings Clark, who fractured his skull and had his eye punched out by a fall in front of a saloon at West and Clinton streets, has recovered sufficiently to leave the Cooper Hospital.

William H. Still, colored, who shot his wife four times at their home, near Snow Hill, several weeks ago, can get out of the Camden County Jail on $500 bail pending trial. Judge Vroom fixed the amount of bail yesterday, as Mrs. Still is out of danger.

Fires yesterday caused $200 damage at Albert Fleet’s residence, 300 North Ninth street, and a loss of $25 at the home of Samuel Harring, 619 North Front street, while at Mrs. Boyson’s house, Point and Elm streets, a hundred pigeons were burned to death.

Samuel Harmon, a colored sneak thief, made the mistake of attempting to strip a clothes line in Policeman Schregler’s back yard while the officer was at home eating his dinner. Harmon will regret his mistake during the thirty days he is to spend in the county jail.
