THIEVES TOOK TO THE SWAMP Early yesterday morning four colored men were discovered trying to rob the bottling place of William Rudolph, at Van Buren and Vanhook streets, Camden. Neighbors awakened the proprietor and he notified the police. The men fled in the direction of Lane Ditch Swamp. Policemen Harvey, Snow, Pooley, Fitzsimmons, Cornog and Sergeant Hyde surrounded the swamp, but after an hour's fruitless search the policemen gave up the hunt.
