Two-Year Quarrel Ends as Man Goes to Jail

They had fought for two years and Saturday night he threatened to kill her.
That was the story Mrs. Rose Karponski, 1479 South Tenth street, told Judge Bertman while testifying in police court today against her husband, Andrew Karponski, 40 years old.
Ella, a 16-year-old daughter, corroborated her mother's testimony. The woman said they had been married 15 years and he had never been good to her. She added he had not worked for more than a year and during that time she and her two daughters had supported the family.
The husband denied the charges. He told the court he had been out of work for only six weeks and that because he had been ill. He charged his wife with failing to care for him while he was sick.
The husband was sentenced to county jail for 30 days.
