Women Endorse Johnny Carroll; 'Harmony in 5th'
John H. Carroll, saloonkeeper of Third and Cherry streets, was unanimously endorsed for county committeeman by the Fifth Ward Women's Republican Club last night.
The meeting was held in the club rooms, Mt. Vernon street, and was largely attended. Mrs. Kate Marlow was endorsed as county committeewoman and Louis Bantivoglio as Republican candidate for Council.
Carroll and Bantivoglio, who are both candidates to succeed themselves, already had been given the endorsement of the Men's Republican Club in the Fifth Ward.
"There is perfect harmony in the Fifth Ward," said Councilman Julius Allendorf today in announcing the action of the committee, "and an easy victory seems certain."
