4 HELD FOR GRAND JURY AFTER GAMBLING RAID The plea of four men that they were only listening to a radio broadcast Saturday on War Admiral's latest turf triumph failed to prevent their being held yesterday for grand jury action when arraigned in police court. Judge Gene R. Mariano held Dominick Di Pilla, 40, of 433 Broadway, in $1000 bail as the owner of an alleged gambling house and three companions in bail of $500 each as material witnesses. The latter are Nicholas Dentina, 20, of 249 Pine street; Anthony Di Pilla, 38, of 512 Benson street, and Edward Bock, 26, of 219 Cooper avenue, Woodlynne. They were arrested late Saturday when a squad of police, headed by Detective Thomas Murphy, raided the Broadway address and seized horse racing sheets and other evidence.
