Cash and Goods Stolen from 2 Cigar Stores
Two cigar stores were robbed last night, money and merchandise being taken from each. At the home of Mary Meksa, 1453 South Tenth street, a would-be thief who attempted to enter by a back window early today was frightened off by the barking of a dog.
Twenty dollars in cash and goods valued at $45 were taken from the store of Harry Bachman, 2600 Federal street. Entrance was made through a rear window.
Several dollars in change and articles were taken from the register in the store of E. A. Lipkin, 1046 Line street. Entrance was made through a cellar window.
