Confidence Game Leads to Disorderly House Arrest

An old confidence game was credited by police for the arrest of Alfred Taylor, 51, of 1735 South Seventh street, on charges he maintained a disorderly house. He was sentenced to 30 days or $100 fine. Testimony revealed that Dewey Sasnett, 27, Aubordale, Fla., truck driver was steered to the home by two confidence men who later robbed him of his billfold containing $60. Being questioned are Jacob Morell, 2140 South Tenth street; Joseph Holmes, 865 Central avenue, and Vernice Pelcer, 1046 Ferry avenue. Police are trying to identify the confidence men.
