Louis G. Engel, Jr., Mechanical Engineer
Louis G. Engel, Jr., 27, former resident of Maple Shade, N. J., and a 1953 graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology, died in a plane crash in Akron, O., it was learned today.
He was employed there as a mechanical engineer for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
Engel, son of Louis G. Engel of Pennsauken and Mrs. Mary A. Brown of Franklinville, N. J., died Monday in the crash of a private plane. It was reported that the single-engine craft went into a nose-dive shortly after takeoff.
Engel is survived by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Lillian J. Kelly of Camden, and a half-brother, Gary Wayne of Pennsauken.
Funeral services will be held Friday from 2850 Federal St., Camden, with a Solemn Requiem Mass celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, on 29th [clipping cut off here].
