Three Suffer Hurts As Car Hits Pole

Three persons were injured about 7 a.m. Sunday when an automobile struck a pole and knocked down several traffic signs at 18th and Federal sts. Treated at Cooper Hospital were Leo L. Murray, 19, of the 3600 block Westfield ave., identified as the driver, who suffered face and head cuts; William Corbett, 46, of 2513 Howell st., cuts of the right arm and head, and Jerome H. Szczesniewski, 18, of 523 Beidman ave., bruised right knee. Corbett was admitted to the hospital. Ptl. Charles Kocher and Richard Brooks said Murray told them he fell asleep.
