Cholera appeared in Camden. This was said to be the first appearance here of the disease in epidemic form.

Street names changed by ordinance passed May 24, 1832, as follows:

• King Street changed to Front Street
• Queen Street Changed to Second Street
• White Hall Street changed to Third Street
• Cherry Street changed to Fourth Street
• Cedar Street changed to Fifth Street
• Pine Street changed to Sixth Street

The original names of these streets appeared on the Joshua Cooper Map of the Town of Camden.
