Angel M. Rodriguez, 35, of 300 Penn st., was admitted to West Jersey Hospital after suffering a severe beating of the face and head Friday night. He was picked up by police at Mt. Ephraim ave. and Chestnut st.

Rodriguez was able only to tell hospital attendants that his car had been stolen then he lapsed into unconsciousness.

Less than half an hour afterwards, Fernando Reyes, 52, of 708 Carman st., stumbled into the office of Broadway Motors, 1444 Broadway. His face was also badly battered.
