Want Stanley Retained Movement to Oust Police Captain May Be Checked The fact that there are influences at work looking to the removal of Arthur Stanley, captain of the Second Police district, Camden, has aroused the business men of the southern section of the city. Already a movement is being crystallized toward having Captain Stanley retained. It is pointed out that since his appointment by Mayor Hatch the Second district has been better morally than for many years past. An old soldier and a strict disciplinarian, he has incurred the enmity of some who are seeking his removal. Mayor Ellis, who controls the situation, is said to be unfavorable to removing Captain Stanley. In the event of the latter getting out Sergeant Edward Hyde will fill the vacancy.
