WILLIAM L. ADAMS SR.
William L. Adams Sr., 61, of 553 North Twenty-eighth street, died yesterday in his home. He was born in South Camden and lived in East Camden nearly 40 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph's Church, Twenty-ninth street and Westfield avenue. For many years he was employed by the Standard Oil Co. and for the past two years had been a bartender at a tavern at Ninth and Market streets.
Surviving are his widow, Mary C., two sons, William L. Jr. and James J., both of Camden; five daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Irick, Fort Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Catherine Parvin, Camden, and Mary, Joan and Anne, of the home address; a brother, James, Camden; five sisters, Mrs. Clara McGovern, Haddon Heights; Mrs. Evelyn Sheer, Philadelphia; Mrs. Rose Kerns and Mrs. Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, both of Camden, and Mrs. Marie Morrison, Pennsgrove, and five grandchildren.
Solemn requiem Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Relatives and friends will meet at 8 a.m. in the funeral home at 2850 Federal street, where friends may call tomorrow night. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
