Phila. Victim Returns to Camden, 'Spots' Men and Causes Arests [sic]
Three men, suspected of robbing of two Philadelphia men under pretense of showing them where to get beer, were arrested yesterday.
They are George Rumble, 19, of 1832 Fillmore street; Al Dubowski, 22, of 1819 Fillmore street, and Frank Marcone, 28, of Woodlawn avenue, Woodbury Heights.
They are accused by Bernard Franz, 26, of 131 North Sixteenth street.
Franz told police that he and Robert Tully, of 4937 Girard avenue, accosted Rumble, Marcone and Dubowski early yesterday at Second and Kaighn avenue and asked them to hop into his car and show him where they could "drink some beer."
Franz, who has identified the three, according to Detective Joseph Carpani, declared Rumble directed him through a maze of streets and suddenly all three turned upon him and Tully. He said they took $5 from Tully. Franz was locked up as a material witness.
Yesterday afternoon Franz returned to Camden in the neighborhood in which he first saw the men. He sighted them at Broadway and Kaighn avenue and summoned police. The three were arrested by Lieut. George Ward, and Detectives Howard Smith, George Zeitz and John Trout.
