Camden Police Make Raids
As a result of the recent order of Mayor Ellis, in Camden, the police under Captain Stanley, of the Second district, yesterday raided four places where slot machines were captured. The places raided included John R. Laws, Third and Pine streets; John Deal, Fourth street and Joint alley; Joseph Palace, Third and Spruce streets, and Frank Peterson, 903 South Fourth street. With the exception of the latter the places are saloons. The proprietors of the places will be given hearings before Recorder Stackhouse today.
