River Avenue, more popularly known as River Road, runs north from Federal Street to the Camden city limits and became a Camden thoroughfare in 1899, when the town of Stockton was united with the city. It is the main artery of Cramer Hill and the location of many stores and small businesses.
John Louis Wible (1885–1954) was a lifelong Camden resident and East Camden Republican leader — the first president of the East End Republican League and a county committeeman, active in Red Cross and Salvation Army campaigns.
26th Street, originally called Union Street in the pre-annexation Pavonia section, runs through Cramer Hill and East Camden from the Delaware River to Bank and Mickle Streets. It was laid out before 1887 and renamed after Stockton Township was absorbed by Camden in 1899.
25th Street, originally Fulton Street, runs from the Delaware River through Cramer Hill and East Camden to Carman Street, split N/S at Federal Street.
Sycamore Street is one of Camden's "tree" streets, originally running east from Front Street to Haddon Avenue; its intersections at 7th, 8th and Louis Streets were hubs for different ethnic and cultural communities.
Arthur Avenue, named after President Chester A. Arthur, is located in the Cramer Hill neighborhood of Camden. It runs from 24th Street eastward to 29th Street and Von Nieda Park, passing along the south side of Veterans Memorial Park.
CHARLES L." SHAD" ALCOTT was born in New Jersey around 1857. The Census indicates July of 1858. Sorting him out can be confusing as there was a Charles M. Alcott, born February of 1857, who lived in Camden at the same time.
ROBERT T. ABBOTT was born in Salem, New Jersey on March 21, 1869 to Benjamin P. Abbott and his wife, the former Beulah Horner.
Retiring Fire Chief Edward R. MacDowell handed over command of Camden's fire department to Acting Chief Edward V. Michalak, ending 38 years and nine months of city fire service that began as a wagon driver for Engine Co. No. 3, 1813 Broadway.

St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, the first Catholic parish in East Camden, was founded in 1893 at 25th and Howell Street and celebrated its Golden Anniversary in 1943. A new church built in 1952 at 2907 Federal Street became St. Joseph's Pro-Cathedral.
