Two N. Camden Men Attacked by Thugs

Two street attacks were reported Friday night to Det. Russell Young.
John Hoey, 73, of 831 Linden st., an attendant at a parking lot at 4th and Arch sts., said that while he was counting the day's receipts he was assaulted by two Negroes about 17 years old, and was hit on the head with a rock. He said the pair fled without loot when he shouted for help.
Joseph Packer, 45, of 621 Grant st., said he was punched in the face by a group of five teen-age Negroes at 3rd st. and Kaighns ave. while he was walking to work. He said his assailants fled without robbing him. He was treated at West Jersey Hospital for a possible nose fracture.
